DESCRIPTION: July 9, 2007. Boston, MA.
Chinese-American activists rallied at the Massachusetts State house to renew their demand for bilingual election ballots including the candidates names. Secretary of State William Galvin supports translating ballot instruction into Chinese but he said translation of candidates names could confuse and mislead voters. Activists point out that the bilingual ballots were used in the last two elections without any problem and maintained that it helped a lot of Chinese voters, especially the elderly.
